FanDuel MLB – Top Outfielders

Top Play: Charlie Blackmon | COL | $4,800

Okay, I promise this is the last Rockies play of the article, but we saved the best for last. Blackmon has been in the midst of a career-year and has utterly destroyed right-handed pitching to the tune of a 0.450 wOBA and 0.320 ISO with a 39.7% hard-contact rate.

More from FanDuel

Rodriguez is worse against lefties (0.349 wOBA allowed) and walks almost as many LHH as he punches out (0.9% K-BB%). On paper, every single box here is checked. Lock in Charlie Blackmon as the top play of the slate, especially with the status of Mike Trout in question after leaving yesterday’s game with calf tightness.

Value Play: Ryan Braun | MIL | $3,000

I expect more value to open up as lineups are released, but at first glance, it’s hard to not love Ryan Braun tonight. He gets to square off against Max Fried tonight. Fried has been solid, but has had his fair share of struggles with righties, allowing a 0.353 wOBA and a 39.6% hard-contact rate.

Braun has smashed lefties throughout his career and while he may be at the tail end, he’s still posting an ISO of 0.221 and striking out under 20% of the time against southpaws this season.

Honorable Mention(s): Mike Trout (potential injury forced him out of the top spot, if active, he takes Blackmon’s spot), Cody Bellinger, Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, Lorenzo Cain, Corey Dickerson, Oscar Mercado, Jake Bauers, Jordan Luplow
