Fantasy Football Rankings: RB Strength Of Schedule

4. Seattle Seahawks– The Seahawks duo of Chris Carson and Rashad Penny are another RB tandem that got gifted a much better SOS in 2019. They went from the 22nd ranked SOS in 2018, all the way to 4th easiest SOS this year. Penny struggled early on as a rookie but picked it up in the 2nd half of the season. Chris Carson emerged out of nowhere in 2019, finishing as the RB15, despite missing 2 games. Entering 2019, they get easy run defense matchups against the Bengals, Steelers, Buccaneers, and more. Being honest with you, I loved Carson’s 5th round ADP at the beginning of the offseason, but now I’m loving Penny’s ADP in the 8th round even more. Ultimately, I think both can be fantasy relevant but give me the guy going later in drafts In Penny.

5. New England Patriots– As a fellow Sony Michel truther, I love seeing this SOS. The Patriots have had an easy RB SOS for years thanks to 6 games of the AFC East very own, Bills, Dolphins, and Jets. The Bills happen to be the fantasy championship game in week 16! On top of those matchups, they also get easy defenses like the Redskins, Giants, Steelers, and Chiefs. In games he started last season, Michel averaged 18 carries a game, 82.5 rush yards, and .6 TD. James White also deserves love, finishing as the RB8 last season. These guys are both going in the late 5th, early 6th, and are both excellent RB2’s. As for Damian Harris, I don’t think he’s fantasy relevant unless Michel gets injured.

6. New York Jets– Even though I mentioned I wasn’t particularly high on Bell this year given the worse OL transition and even worse HC transition, we can’t be biased and ignore his 6th easiest SOS. Another AFC East RB licking his chops with the Dolphins, Patriots, and Bills being 6 of the 16 regular season games. My favorite thing I noticed when looking at this schedule is that he faces his old team, the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fantasy championship in week 16. Yes, I already have him penciled in my DFS lineups for that week. Seeing this SOS, makes me a little more high on Bell than before, but I’m still hesitant to use my 1st round pick on him.
