MLB DFS Pitching Plays

Yonny Chirinos – Yonny has a 3.94 xFIP, a 22% K rate, 42.2% GB rate, and 30.4% HC. Toronto has a 24% K rate against RHP. Chirinos has actually been one of the most consistent pitchers in the league this season. Yet his price is still sitting at just above 7K on FanDuel.

The last time he faced Toronto, he dropped 42 points on them. This is overall one of the best plays on the day, and nobody will play him as he is frequently one of the lowest owned plays on the slate.

Pitch Mix – Chirinos is a very sinker heavy pitcher, using it over 50% of the time, he also has a pretty good slider and splitter that is used more often on LHH. That splitter gets 45% whiffs, hence the higher k rate to LHH.

Recently the slider has seen an increase in GB now sitting at 35%, while the sinker and splitter get around 45%. As mentioned this is a great value play, he also has a great chance at a win since Sanchez is pitching for the Jays.
