17. Kelly Bryant, Missouri

For a talented quarterback, Kelly Bryant was always the forgotten man at Clemson. He understandably played behind Deshaun Watson in the school’s first battles with Alabama earlier this decade, but once Watson went to the NFL, the starting job opened.

Bryant was a solid game manager in 2017, and he worked both the air and the ground game, combining for 24 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. All seemed well until a man named Trevor Lawrence was recruited to become a Tiger.

After just parts of four games, Lawrence kicked Bryant out of a job and never looked back. That left the latter man, again, on the outside, looking in, and as a senior. So, as a graduate transfer, he went to Missouri.

This other Tigers team has struggled to find relevancy in the SEC, and Drew Lock left for the NFL earlier this year. They will likely fall near the back of the pack, but with an experienced quarterback taking over to try to make this team competitive.

Still, it is one last chance for Bryant to showcase himself for the NFL. He may not project as a high draft pick, but an accurate, controlled season with the football can draw some interest. Upsetting one or two of the conference powerhouses will help himself out.
