3. The offensive line can be dominant

If the Cowboys offensive line can stay healthy this season, there’s a chance it will be the best group in the NFL. The unit really doesn’t get the credit it deserves for making the team’s offensive stars look so good.

The return of Travis Frederick at center could be the thing that brings everything into focus for the team. He may never be the brute force he was before missing the bulk of last season due to injury, but he’s effectively the brain of the Cowboys’ line. Frederick can get everyone headed in the right direction.

He’s fortunate to line up to arguably the best right guard in football. At worst, Zack Martin is a perennial Pro Bowler. At best, he’s a future Hall of Famer. Either way, the Cowboys should have high expectations for him this year.

Tyron Smith, Connor Williams and La’El Collins round out the rest of the projected starting lineup. Each member of that trio could also end up making the Pro Bowl if they play to the best of their ability. Anytime you have a starting offensive line with five potential Pro Bowlers, you know you’re in good shape. If the Cowboys win it all a lion’s share of the credit should go to this group.
