2019 fantasy football quarterback rankings: Top 20
Fantasy Football Quarterback: 15-17
It seems as if everyone is forgetting about Nick Foles. He is currently being selected as the QB26, which means he is undrafted in most leagues. Foles is now reacquainted with OC John DeFillippo, who was his QB coach in Philly.
As the OC in Minnesota last year, DeFillippo was extremely pass-heavy. If he had been the offensive coordinator for all 16 games, the Vikings would have finished the year with the second-most pass attempts in the league.
We should expect this trend to continue with Foles attempting a high volume of passes. The Jaguars may not have the most elite wide receivers, but this is a young group with lots of upside. Foles is on my radar as a deep sleeper in fantasy drafts.
When Amari Cooper came to town last season, Dak Prescott became much more productive. He gained a much-needed true number one wide receiver and didn’t hesitate to get Cooper involved. Prescott was Fantasy Football’s QB7 in the 9 games he played with Cooper.
The Cowboys have also brought back Jason Witten and signed Randall Cobb in the off-season, giving Prescott even more weapons. His ADP is currently around QB18, which is a good value at that price point.
When Lamar Jackson took over as the full-time starter in Baltimore, he was a must-start quarterback in any Fantasy Football format. From Weeks 12-17, Jackson was the QB6 averaging just over 19 fantasy points per game.
His rushing ability gives him a safe floor, even if he does tone down the rushing attempts. Jackson doesn’t provide a whole lot in the passing game, which could hinder his production in 2019. Last year, he only had one game in which he passed for over 200 yards. That being said, you should feel comfortable with Lamar Jackson as your starting Fantasy Football quarterback.
