EPL DFS Value Forwards/Midfielders

Moise Kean (Watford @ Everton, $12) – Everton bought Kean from Juventus this summer, and it looks as though he’ll make his first EPL start after coming on as a substitute last game.  The 19-year-old was a much sought-after transfer target for a lot of teams this summer, but finally landed at Everton.

His opponent Watford got throttled 3-0 by Brighton last week.  This match-up must have Everton attackers licking their chops.  Last April, Kean scored in 6 straight matches, so we know he can score.  The only question is how long it will take him to fit into his new EPL home.  Kean does some off-ball defending as well, which could raise his floor with those peripherals.

There’s a chance this is as cheap as we’ll see Kean this year, and I’m willing to take a shot with him in GPPs for this price.  If you’re high on Everton, Dominic Calvert-Lewin ($14) is another player to consider.

Trezeguet (Bournemouth @ Aston Villa, $12) – I’m headed right back to Aston Villa for my value on this slate.  Trezeguet was one of Villa’s premier signings this summer, and he got off to a decent start last week with a 14.5 fantasy point game against Tottenham.

This match-up with Bournemouth I already touched on, but it’s a perfect one to use Aston Villa attackers as value pieces or stack-fillers.  For even cheaper, you can get Conor Hourihane ($10) who played well last week too.

Hourihane (+320) is tied for the 2nd best odds of any Villa starter to score, right behind the aforementioned McGinn.

Philip Billing (Bournemouth @ Aston Villa, $10) – While a lot of the Bournemouth squad was disappointing last weekend, Billing was not.  I’m upset that I missed him last week and paid unnecessarily for Wilson and Fraser, but I’m not going to let that happen this week.

Billing had 10 combined interceptions and tackles, along with 2 chances created and a shot on goal.  For $10, I’ll take that 7 days a week.  While Bournemouth struggled attacking last weekend, they get another good match-up against Aston Villa this week.

Villa conceded 3 goals to Tottenham on Saturday, and they look like they might struggle defensively while adjusting to a new level of competition.  Aston Villa is going to be the chalk value, but here’s one guy you can use to fade that.
