NFL DFS Preseason Week 2

Bills @ Panthers

The Bills and Panthers held joint-practice this week in anticipation of Friday’s showdown. For the Bills, I believe the more reps the better for Matt Barkley. With a mobile quarterback in Josh Allen, potential injury is always on the table.

The Bills should be in contention for a playoff spot with their improved offense and further development of Allen…having Barkley be ready for a spot start or extended relief of Allen would be beneficial.

Marcus Murphy and Devin Singletary will continue to battle for the third string RB role. For the Panthers, it will be fun to watch the battle in the next few weeks between Kyle Allen and Will Grier for QB #2 and #3.

Players to consider in NFL DFS Preseason Week 2: Matt Barkley (QB-BUF), Devin Singletary (RB-BUF), Kyle Allen (QB-CAR)

Dolphins @ Buccaneers

Another team in joint-practice this week, both the Dolphins and Buccaneers put up big numbers in Week 1 of the preseason and will look to continue developing their young players and attempt to be competitive this season. Josh Rosen appears to have secured the starting role but Ryan Fitzmagic has been known to usurp a QB #1 role.

For the Buccaneers, backup QB Ryan Griffin put up 330 yards on 26 completions last week pairing nicely with undrafted rookie Spencer Schnell and 2nd year receiver Tanner Hudson. The Buccaneers defense appears to be legit and should continue to develop in Week 2 of the preseason.

Players to consider in NFL DFS Preseason Week 2: Preston Williams (WR-MIA), Ryan Griffin (QB-TB), Spencer Schnell (WR-TB)

Bears @ Giants

The rise of David Montgomery is the leading headline for the Bears for the next few weeks. The third round draft pick is on a collision course to take over the lead back roll and is simultaneously scorching up fantasy draft boards.

For the Giants, the excellent opening performance by 6th overall pick, Daniel Jones, is turning heads while there are additional reports of Eli Manning slinging it in practice. This story-line will heat up if Jones continues to succeed in the Giants preseason games and should create some fun media attention in New York come September.
