NFL DFS preseason Week 3 Thursday lineup advice

NFL DFS – Tight Ends
Robert Tonyan GB TE
With injuries mounting among the Green Bay tight ends, Tonyan finds himself in a position to see a ton of snaps on Thursday night. This is coming off of a game in which Tonyan was targeted 5 times and recorded a team high 3 receptions.

This Raiders defense proved susceptible to the tight end position last week, when they surrendered 3 catches, 23 yards, and 1 touchdown to Cardinals rookie tight end, Caleb Wilson. If Tonyan could duplicate those numbers, he’d stand a good chance of being the top scoring tight end on the entire slate.
Josh Perkins PHI TE
I’ve been banging the drum for Perkins through the first two weeks of preseason, and he has consistently let me down. Third time’s a charm? It’s impossible to ignore how thin the Eagles are at the tight end position, and Perkins is dealing with an undisclosed injury as well. You’ll want to stay on top of the news to make sure he’s even playing, but if he’s on the field, he’ll have another great chance to produce on a team that heavily involves the tight end. If he’s out, Will Tye and Alex Ellis are worth a look.
NFL DFS – Defense/Special Teams
Washington DST
Didn’t I just hype up Matt Ryan and Calvin Ridley? Yes. But an overlooked statistic from last week is that the Jets were able to pile up 14 quarterback hits on their way to 5 sacks against the Falcons. I’m confident that Matt Ryan will be able to put points on the board, but if Atlanta continues to have trouble with their protection, it’s only a matter of time before a defense capitalizes with a big time play. I also love playing defenses that carry very low ownership, and I suspect Washington will be among the lowest owned DST unit on the slate.
