3. Taynara Conti and Bianca Belair in women’s action

Two women we haven’t seen a lot of lately got a chance to shine this week on NXT as Taynara Conti went one-on-one with Bianca Belair. With NXT heading to the USA Network in just a few weeks, there are going to be plenty more opportunities for everyone and these two made the most of it on this week’s show.

This might have been Conti’s best showing in the black and gold brand to date. She really took it Belair throughout the match. It was a moment to show the world just how much she has improved since the first time we saw her all the way back in the first Mae Young Classic. Belair had a good showing too but that was to be expected; the bigger surprise here was clearly the performance of Conti.

The finish saw Belair pick up the win with the KO’d to secure the victory. At the end of the day, both women came out of this match looking better than they did going in which is always a sign of good booking that we come to expect from the NXT brand, and something we’re going to need to see a lot more of as the year goes on.

The women’s division of NXT continues to be rebuilt and gets stronger by the month. With plenty of talented women waiting in the wings like Chelsea Green, Deonna Purrazzo and others we think that by the end of the year the women’s division of NXT is going to be in great shape.
