4. Indianapolis Colts

When they were tied to running back Le’Veon Bell in free agency, Colts general manager Chris Ballard seemed to convey the value he sees in having a harmonious locker room. Brown would not fit that idea at all of course, and he’d been an immediate threat for disruption unless he’s somehow humbled by the Raiders’ decision to jettison him so quickly. Humility and Brown are about as polar opposite as things can get, but never say never if he can join a stable and winning organization.

The Colts can give Brown the kind of new contract he’d like to have, with the most cap space in the league heading into the season ($51.219 million, via Over The Cap) and plenty of cap space looking beyond 2019.

If it comes down to adding a big talent in the wake of Andrew Luck’s retirement, and re-establishing odds of a Super Bowl run this year, Ballard may have a hard time turning that down. It’s not necessarily very likely, but the Colts have to be on a list of possible suitors for Brown.
