Lamar Jackson ($26 Salary)

A week one date with a blatantly depth tanking Miami Dolphins organization is just what the doctor ordered as the Ravens will finally unveil their new-look, Lamar Jackson tailored offensive scheme. Playing the Dolphins will allow the offense to iron out the kinks with live bullets, but with minimal risk.

The jury is still out on Jackson’s ability as an NFL passer, but there is no denying that he had some good tape against inferior college competition. Even if he is more than a QB2 as a pure passer, that is not why we are targeting him in DFS or even redraft. Jackson averaged 67.5 rushing yards as a starter last season, a number that equates to 1.6875 passing touchdowns or 168.75 passing yards.

Miami ranked third worst with 7.7 passing yards per attempt against in 2018 and made no notable additions to their secondary. While Jackson may have a limited passing volume, the variables are correct for him to have an efficient evening.

Mark Ingram ($20 Salary)

Mark Ingram should see all the work he can handle in what is likely to turn into a blowout of the Miami Dolphins. The Ravens will have a live team to practice on and showcase an offense some on the Ravens believe may revolutionize the NFL.

Hyperbole aside, this is a matchup to target Mark Ingram in. The Dolphins are expected to be trailing for the majority of the contest and that gameflow should afford Ingram plenty of carries. Justice Hill, Gus Edwards and Lamar Jackson will all get carries as well as the Ravens look set to see over 250 rushing yards in this weekends contest. The Dolphins allowed 4.47 yards per carry to running backs in 2018 and lost Cameron Wake to the Tennessee Titans and Robert Quinn to the Dallas Cowboys.

Clemson rookie defensive lineman Christian Wilkins is going to become a force in this league, but his addition does not make up for the loss of two proven edge rushers. Make Ingram a strong consideration for your week one lineup.

Dalvin Cook ($27 Salary)

With the Vikings favored in a home contest against division rival Atlanta Falcons, the gameflow is projected to be there for Dalvin Cook to see a high volume afternoon. Now almost two years removed from his ACL tear, Cook is projected to have one of the highest touch counts at the running back position. He should get all the carries he can handle in this contest and is facing a team that was gashed last season to the tune of 4.9 yards per rush attempt.

The total for this game is a rock solid 47.5 which indicates there could be some offensive fireworks on both sides of the ball. No team allowed more receptions to the running back position in 2018 and Cook will remain heavily involved in the passing game.

Alexander Mattison projects as more of a breather back than a volume threat and should serve to keep Cook at his explosive best throughout the contest. Cook averaged 104 yards from scrimmage as he rounded back to form in the month of December and is a good bet to surpass that total in this contest.
