Rizzla breaks down and discusses the rationale behind his NFL Yahoo Cup Round 1 DFS lineup.

After an eventful offseason full of shock and surprises, the NFL season is finally here. The season opened with the Green Bay Packers pulling off a surprise victory in Chicago versus the Bears. As that game showed very well, week one can often be a sloppy mess.

While Allen Robinson put on a show and proved that he is finally back to full strength, Davante Adams, Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones and pretty much every offensive skill player aside from Tarik Cohen disappointed for both teams . This could easily be a function of two defenses playing at a much higher level than their offensive counterparts, but seeing unsteady play has become a theme in the opening week of the NFL season.

The NFL Yahoo Cup is back at again at Yahoo and is a great avenue for the novice or rookie DFS player to get their feet wet and experience what all the daily fantasy sports buzz is about. Entry is totally free, and the contest has both a weekly payout and a season long payout. Dipping your toes into the DFS waters with a fantasy provider you already know and trust is an excellent opportunity that everyone with a chance should avail themselves to.

This week’s lineup features a Baltimore Ravens stack as they are set to square off with the lowly Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins will be a defense to target all season.

There are also two players from the Minnesota Vikings vs Atlanta Falcons matchup. The game will be played in Minnesota with the Vikings pegged as the favorites. This means good things for the Vikings run game, and conversely the Falcons passing attack.

To round out the lineup there are two players who Yahoo did not give enough respect to when it came time to set the salaries. Exceptional values are a key to building the strongest lineup possible. Let’s dive in.
