FanDuel NFL GPP Breakdown: Week 2 main slate

Todd Gurley – This is a play that I am slightly conflicted with. On one hand, this price tag is a joke at only 7k. On the other, he looked pretty bad for a good part of that game last week, allowing Malcom Brown to have a career day. Overall he did finish with 97 rushing yards and was on the field for 70% of the snaps. This very well could have been more of a tune-up game for him, and we could very well see him explode against the Saints rush defense, that he torched in the past. I think people will shy away from him, which could be great for our ownership in tourneys.

Kerryon Johnson – Speaking of guys who really need to bounce back, Johnson had a day to forget last week. During the entire off-season, all guys could talk about was how Johnson was going to be the three-down workhorse back for Detroit, but we all forgot that when C.J Anderson is not spending time at the local buffet, he is regularly spotted stealing carries from starting running backs. Kerryon split carries with Anderson for some unknown reason, and now people are already writing the guy off. This is great for our potential ownership on him, and considering Marlon Mack just gashed the Chargers last week, I am expecting a bounce back from Johnson here.

Ezekiel Elliott – This is your chance to grab Zeke at a discounted price, and at much lower ownership than we have seen in the past. He will be the lowest owned out of all of the stud backs and showed last week that he is in great shape, and should be allotted more snaps for this week. Only playing on 54% of the snaps, he still put up 63 total yards and a score. Game script for this week could be more running based, especially if Dallas takes another early lead. Lock and load Elliott.
