FanDuel NFL GPP Breakdown: Week 2 main slate

Josh Allen – After a very impressive start to the season, Allen gets an amazing match-up with the Giant defense. They just got torched by Dak Prescott and company last week, and I really like this price tag on Allen. I think Carr is the likely chalk option, and considering he is almost 1,000 cheaper, that makes sense in cash games. Allen threw for 254 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions with a 65% completion percentage. If you consider that fact that the Jets defense dominated this game during the first half, I think these are respectable numbers for him. John Brown looked sharp, and the Giants were giving up plenty of deep balls, which makes me think that Allen can take advantage, and have a big day.

Russell Wilson – Wilson only attempted 20 total passes last week, but completed 70% of them, for 195 yards, and two scores. This is going to be a run-first offense, but we have to take into consideration how bad Pittsburgh looked against the Patriots. Brady was able to do whatever he wanted to that secondary. A lot of this play will come down to how the game is flowing. If Pittsburgh can take a decent lead, that will force Wilson to throw more. His ownership is coming in pretty low as of right now, he is priced just $100 more than Allen, and the match-up couldn’t be better.

Gardner Minshew – The man with the mustache will be starting in week two for the Jags, and let me say that I am very excited about this play. He is only 6.4k on FanDuel, and as mentioned earlier Carr should soak up most of the ownership in this price range, leaving Gardner to somehow fly under the radar. He had an 88% completion percentage, 275 yards, and two touchdowns while filling in for Foles. This is another game where Jacksonville will be playing from behind, so very similar game script to last week. It’s time to ride the mustache all the way to the top of your GPP leader boards
