5 bold Premier League predictions: Manchester City score seven
2. Raul Jimenez bags double as Wolves beat Chelsea
Wolves host Chelsea at Molineux this weekend in a game that should be quite close. Chelsea are gradually progressing under Frank Lampard but they are defensively poor at the moment which is costing them points.
It’s probably only a matter of time before Lampard gets it right and finds more consistency with his side but for now, teams know they’re vulnerable. Wolves have some great attacking threats and normally manage games well to make sure their opposition doesn’t have too many chances.
This is something that Nuno’s side didn’t do away at Everton two weeks ago when they conceded twice in the first fifteen minutes. The Portuguese manager will have made sure that his defense are tightened up and if he gets that right then his team will have a great chance of winning this weekend.
Chelsea have been scoring goals but then letting games slip away from them as they progress. They were in the clear against Sheffield United and then were pegged back by a team that they should be beating.
The transfer ban that Chelsea have can’t really be used as too much of an excuse because the Blues still have some great players like N’Golo Kante, Olivier Giroud as well as some up and coming stars like Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount.
Mount and Abraham look comfortable in the Premier League and have done all that they can to help their team win. However, Chelsea’s problem has been at the other end of the pitch where they’re looking shaky at the back. Cesar Azpilicueta has looked uncharacteristically unsure of himself in recent weeks whilst Emerson and Zouma don’t look like the most reliable defenders.
This will be a tight game in which both teams will find the back of the net. Wolves will be better organized though and run out 3-2 winners in an end-to-end game.
