Adam Svensson

We were first introduced to Adam last season at the Desert Classic where he finished at a respectable T18. The former Mackenzie Tour star found himself struggling in the middle of the 2019 season but came into the stretch with a strong finish where he finished T15 at the 3M,  T18 at the John Deere, and T31 at the Wyndham Championship. Along that stretch he gained 3.5 strokes gained total, 3.1 Strokes gained approach and 1.9 Off the Tee. He was ranked 17th on the PGA Tour in 2019 in Tee to Green Stats. Where is Svensson as of Monday? Also not in the roster selection page since he managed to shoot 66 -6 behind Stephan Jaeger at the Deerfield Monday Qualifier where he had a nice little stretch of birdies himself. Normally I am not too gung-ho over the Monday Q’s that squeezed in, but these are proven players with Tour experience that defeated a very strong 80 player field that included multiple KFT tour and PGA tour winners.

Scott Harrington

Harrington quietly squeezed into a T18 finish at the Greenbrier last weekend where he managed to gain 1.1 Strokes off the Tee and 4.6 total. What Harrington is known for is his length averaging 317 yards OTT and with 65% accuracy. Looking further into his stats we can see that Scott earned himself a ranking of 6th in birdie average during the KFT Tour season. I will assume he will take a let it fly and rip it approach at the Sanderson as this will give him a slight edge over his fellow competitors obviously leaving himself shorter approach shots.

The driving accuracy is not the best in this instance as we usually like to see it upwards of 70%, but since the Sanderson is famous for keeping the rough length shorter, I do not envision a scenario where it would hinder him from scoring well. An interesting tidbit about Scott is that he is 38 years old and finally earned his tour card this year. In an emotional moment at the KFT finals he and his wife celebrated in great fashion as it culminated into him achieving his dream. Scott had put his career on hold in 2017 to tend to his wife who was battling cancer. Jenn Harrington is now in remission.
