DraftKings showdown Thursday Night Football: Packers vs Eagles
DraftKings showdown Week 4: Flex
Carson Wentz – $10,000
If this Packers offense is going to go off, Carson Wentz will be in line for a lot of garbage time opportunity Thursday night. I like the chances of this game shooting out if both quarterbacks can get off to a fast start. I am making both a priority in lineups that I build with their pass-catchers as the Captain. While the Packers defense has been very good so far this year, Wentz is a much better quarterback than Joe Flacco, Kirk Cousins and Mitchel Trubisky. I think the Eagles will have some success in the passing game as they’re simply too talented to lay a dud.
Alshon Jeffery – $8,200
It is looking like Alshon Jeffery will be available Thursday night, be sure to check to make sure that he is active though, as he could be a late scratch. I probably prefer Agholor working out of the slot to Jeffery as Jaire Alexander has been fantastic so far this season and is likely to shadow Jeffery. I will still have builds with Jeffery, as he is an excellent red-zone threat and should see 7-10 targets Thursday night.
Nelson Agholor – $7,800
I believe the best matchup for this Eagles passing attack will be Agholor in the slot as Alexander is likely to shadow Jeffery. I will have Agholor and Wentz as my two highest owned Eagles on this slate in the flex. I will have some shares of Agholor as my Captain as well but unless you’re running more than 10+ lineups, I would probably stick with the main core I discussed above.
Miles Sanders – $6,200
While this Packers pass defense has been excellent so far this year (2nd fewest Points allowed to QBs / 3rd fewest to WRs / Fewest to TEs) the rush defense has been beatable. The Packers currently allow the fourth-most points to running backs (24.4 Pts Gm). Not exactly the best situation for a running back by committee approach that the Eagles employ but a reason for you to have some shares of Miles Sanders. So far this season, he has tried to bounce far too many plays outside instead of sticking his foot in the ground and getting upfield. I believe in his talent, and am hopeful that the coaching staff has really harped on him to maximize every carry instead of looking for the home-run. If he can have some success early in the game, perhaps Doug Pederson leans on his rookie running back heavily and he breaks the slate. I will have a few shares of him in my Captain, but for the most part, he will mainly be featured in lower-scoring game script builds.
