Fantasy Football picks: Week 5 TNF Rams vs. Seahawks

Chris Carson – After fumbling in his first three games, Carson finally set down the popcorn and held onto the ball last week. He also exceeded twenty carries for the first time, and as a result, got his first 100 yard game of the season as well. Carson also got four catches for 41 yards. In that game Chris got 76% of the snaps, getting 60% of the snaps on the year, which has increased recently due to the fact that Rashard Penny has been injured.

This is a great spot for Carson, the Rams give up the eighth-most fantasy points to the running back position, and that is the weakest part of their defense. Penny will likely return for that game, but Carson appears to be back in the good graces of Pete Carroll solidifying his workload.

Brandin Cooks – I wanted to mention Cooks as a GPP play. He has had an okay year, but has not got the same volume as Kupp, with 31 targets in four games, and only one score. He has gotten plenty of snaps though considering the Rams mainly just stick to three receivers, so he should still have plenty of opportunities.

If this game turns into a shootout early, Cooks should score plenty of points, and will likely be one of the lower owned pay up players. With Carson, and Gurley right around his price tag, and Kupp slightly more expensive, those make sense as cash game safer plays.
