DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:

The biggest injury news is that Jan Vesely’s knee that kept him out of the World Cup will keep him out of at least the opener for Fenerbahce. That means Derrick Williams is going to be leaned on more heavily, but this is a tough matchup with Real Madrid. The best thing to do is probably to go heavily on Fenerbahce guards.

On the other side of this, it could be a little easier going for Walter Tavares and Jordan Mickey with Vesely out. Neither had good games against Fenerbahce last season, but it could be different without Vesely. Mickey is probably the better play, but both are worth a look if you have the extra cash.

More from FanSided

After more than a decade stateside, Luis Scola has returned to the EuroLeague. I don’t like the price here without seeing just how much the 39 year old Scola will play. With Vladiimir Micov out though, Scola could play more than Milan wants.

Another NBA vet switching continents is Greg Monroe. Monroe is an elite defensive player, which plays right into the EuroLeague game. Danilo Barthel could slide into a lesser role here. I do like Monroe against the Milan front without Micov.

Ioannis Papapetrou flourished under Rick Pitino last season once Pitino took over the reins for Athens. Will that continue with a new staff in place? This may be too much risk for me.

It looks like Luigi Datome is over the myriad of minor injuries that plagued him all the way back to the spring. It’s just in time too with Vesely out. Datome played 24 minutes in the Turkish league opener, which could make him a bargain at the price.

The Khimki forwards have been susceptible to bigs that can score at will, something that neither Tarik Black nor Othello Hunter could do against them last year. Enter Omri Casspi, who signed with Milan after not getting much interest from NBA teams. Casspi showed he still had something left last year in the NBA. He could be the scorer that could really hurt the Khimki front. Jonas Jerebko could be worth a look here as well, but I don’t know if the minutes will be there.

Sergey Monia has had a career high with four blocks thrice in his career. All have come at home and all have been against Tel Aviv. Once in 2010, again in 2013, and last in 2017. He’s due!
