2. Atlanta Falcons

It feels like the Atlanta Falcons are a team in the midst of a perpetual crisis, and things are getting desperate for them. The Falcons are 1-3 this season, and they suffered an absolutely brutal loss at home in Week 4.

The Tennessee Titans, a team not known for its offensive firepower, came into Atlanta and dominated the Falcons in a 24-10 win. Tennessee utilized an efficient offense to put the Falcons in a hole, with Marcus Mariota throwing three touchdowns on the day.

The Falcons’ offense moved the ball plenty, with Matt Ryan throwing for 397 yards in the game, but key mistakes short circuited a lot of drives. Atlanta’s lack of balance on offense, highlighted by a pitiful 12/28 line from Devonta Freeman, made it easy for the Titans to tee off on Ryan.

The Falcons hit the road this week for a showdown with the Houston Texans, who we already discussed earlier on this list. Both teams possess some of the most talented rosters in the NFL, but neither is really playing up to their potential.

This creates what should be a must-win game in Houston, which should be a ton of fun for neutral observers but absolutely terrifying for fans of both teams. Coach Dan Quinn is already on the hot seat in Atlanta, so a loss here could send their season spiraling out of control.
