3. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have played very well after Andrew Luck’s sudden retirement, putting together a squad that is still capable of winning the division. There was an argument to be made that the Colts could easily have entered Week 4 with a 3-0 record after a few missed kicks from Adam Vinatieri cost them a win in Los Angeles in Week 1.

The air came out of the balloon for Indianapolis on Sunday, when the Oakland Raiders walked into Lucas Oil Stadium and manhandled the Colts in their own building. Derek Carr played very efficient football for Oakland, tossing two touchdowns and committing no turnovers.

The more concerning thing for the Colts is the fact that the Raiders ran at will, racking up 188 rushing yards. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett also made a brutal mistake late in the game, tossing a pick six when the Colts had the football back down a score late in the fourth quarter.

The season isn’t lost for the Colts yet, as they are in an unprecedented four-way tie atop the AFC South with their 2-2 record. Unfortunately for Indianapolis, they have a very difficult task this week as they head to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs survived an upset bid on the road from the Detroit Lions a week ago, so they will be on high alert in this prime time game. Indianapolis is going to have to beat teams like this in order to reach the postseason, so picking up a win in Kansas City is massive for their long term goals.
