DraftKings showdown Sunday Night Football: Chiefs vs Colts
The Chiefs backfield is murky at the moment with the uncertainty of Damien Williams. If Williams is active, I project him as the starter and will want him in my flex along with some shares of him at Captain. I will also remove McCoy from my player pool should Williams be active.
DraftKings Showdown: Flex
Jacoby Brissett $8,400
The Chiefs defense allows top-12 point production to all position groups (QB 8th, RB 10th, WR12th, TE9th) making Jacoby Brissett one of my higher owned flex play this week. While the coaching staff would like to limit possessions and run a ball-control running game, Mahomes and this Chiefs offense is likely to force the issue. The score will likely make this Colts offense a one-dimensional passing attack. While he won’t ever be mistaken for Andrew Luck, Brissett has been an efficient passer throwing 10 touchdowns to only two interceptions and a 102.1 rating.
Sammy Watkins – $8,800
After a Week 1 breakout in which Watkins caught 9 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns, the Chiefs leading receiver has been rather quiet. He currently leads the Chiefs in targets (38), touchdowns (3). The most important aspect when identifying your player pool is volume, and Watkins has seen a ton of that. If you’re multi-mass entering (MME) you will want some shares of Watkins in at Captain, I will have him mostly in the flex when I roster Watkins.
Marlon Mack – $6,800
Another player that we will have to monitor heading into Sunday night’s game will be the health of Marlon Mack. He has yet to practice this week, making him truly a game-time decision. This is a good matchup if Mack can play as the Chiefs allow the 10th most points to running backs (20 Game). If he does play, I think the Colts will try to limit possessions and try to establish the run with Mack. If the Colts can keep it close and keep the Chiefs offense off the field, Mack will do well here. If they fall behind early, it will be a tough path to a productive day as he comes off the field during obvious passing situations.
Mecole Hardman – $6,200
While Robinson will see more snaps, Hardman will lineup in the slot 40-50% making him my second favorite Chiefs receiver. While Robinson has been fantastic, I will go with the cheaper and lower owned Hardman when deciding between the two. Make no mistake about it, you will want all three in a lot of your lineups.
Demarcus Robinson – $7,200
With Tyreek Hill out, Demarcus Robinson has filled in nicely for the speedster. He is currently third on the team in targets, catches and yards while leading the team in touchdown receptions with three. With the injuries to this Colts defense, I will be looking to attack with Kelce and the slot receivers, making Robinson my third favorite receiver of this bunch as he typically is lined up outside.
