Fantasy football picks: Week 5 MNF Browns vs. 49ers

Jimmy Garoppolo – Getting one of the best individual match-ups on the slate. Cleveland gives up the 12th most points against quarterbacks. The Niners have been a run-first offense, which is not that surprising considering how great that backfield committee has been. Jimmy has yet to exceed 32 passing attempts and has not reached 300 yards.

He had five scores on four interceptions, so overall this has been a very poor season for the once highly touted quarterback. Jimmy G is a little expensive for his recent form, but on a single game slate, we have to get at least one quarterback. Baker will likely be a popular play, but he has not been much better. We can get a little bit of a different stack with the Niners, and this is the first piece.

George Kittle – Going into this season Kittle was ranked as the second-best tight-end. While he had not produced to that degree, he still has plenty of potential going forward. He plays over 90% of the snaps, has just over 20 targets, and at least 50 yards in each game. Kittle has not found the end-zone, but Cleveland gives up the 13th most points to the tight-end spot.

The corners will be tight on these receivers, but that could let George open over the middle of the field. Stacking Jimmy G and Kittle together is a great method for cash games in my opinion, and he has plenty of upside at only 11k. If San Francisco would get behind in this game, they will have to pass more often than usual. That will only benefit Kittle.
