DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:

As good of a game as Mike James had in the opener, he was still overshadowed by Facundo Campazzo and Nick Calathes. James is going to have another good game against Munich, but I would lean towards Campazzo or Calathes due to the easier matchups. I didn’t fade James much at all last year, but I think I will here.

All of the Fenerbahce guards had a rough go last week, but they are in line for a rebound here against Belgrade. Nando de Colo is a strong GPP pivot, and Ali Muhammad is a pretty nice value pick.

Billy Baron stormed onto the EuroLeague scene with 34.8 DraftKings points in his first ever EuroLeague game. He may have a bit tougher go against Fenerbahce, but it’s clear that he is a huge part of this Belgrade team.

I was impressed with the performance of Nihad Dedovic in the opener against Fenerbahce, but CSKA’s guards are really good. The price is very tempting, but if I have the money, I’m moving up. Or you could use Jordan Taylor, who had a strong game in Villeurbanne’s win against Olympiacos.

New arrival Darrun Hilliard lit up the scoreboard for CSKA in the opener, but Dino Hackett still had a good game alongside him. I think Hilliard’s lights out shooting will hurt the value of Mike James more than Hackett. There is no need to fade the whole CSKA backcourt. I love the plays of Hackett or Hilliard for value.

Maodo Lo was huge last week for the price, but I don’t know that I would bet on it happening again. Koponen wont be a non-factor is most games. Lo just happened to get hot instead of Koponen. The price on Lo this week makes him less of a value, and someone I’ll stay away from since you can get Hilliard at the same price.

Melih Mahmutoglu played a little over 30 minutes in the opener. If he does that again for just $4,700, I don’t see how we fade him. Both Ron Baker and Elijah Bryant were effective off the bench in their openers, but they played half the minutes of Mahmutoglu, and Baker did so in a blowout win.
