NBA Preseason DFS: Orlando @ Atlanta

Orlando: No injuries.

Atlanta: Evan Turner, Allen Crabbe, and Chandler Parsons are OUT.

The Magic are playing their third preseason game already and are 2-0 (not that really means anything). We saw the Orlando starters get a slight minute increase last time out with all five playing 20 minutes or more. Aaron Gordon (25) and Jonathan Isaac (29) led the team in minutes and fantasy points and both young players feel like great plays tonight in a matchup with an Atlanta team that is poor defensively and plays at a fast pace. Vucevic is always in play if he’s going to get 20+ minutes, too, as he is an elite fantasy point-per-minute player and can dominate any of the Atlanta big men.

The Atlanta side of this game is appealing, too, as we saw their starters play 20+ minutes on Monday with the exception of Damion Jones playing only 19. Trae Young played 26 minutes and nearly double-doubled with 9 points and 11 assists, but also turned it over 8 times (ouch). John Collins is another main target here and he posted 13-5-1 in 21 minutes.

My favorite play is going to be DeAndre’ Bembry, who started on the wing and was incredibly productive with 16-3-3 and 4 combined steals/blocks. With Turner, Crabbe, and Parsons out he should continue to get some nice minutes and he had his minutes staggered last game so that he was on the floor with the bench unit a lot which ended up allowing him to get up 11 shots, the second-most on the team.

Elite Plays: Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon, DeAndre’ Bembry, Trae Young

Also, Consider: Nikola Vucevic, Mo Bamba, John Collins, De’Andre Hunter
