NBA Preseason DFS: Warriors @ Lakers

Golden State Warriors

Steph Curry absolutely went off last game for 40 points and made it look easy. He is going to be an absolute beast this year with Klay out and KD in Brooklyn and he’s in consideration for the top play on the slate tonight against the Lakers. It’s pretty easy to fit him on either site and I would highly recommend just eating the chalk and not risking him have another massive game while you don’t have him on your roster.

With Willie Cauley-Stein still sidelined and Kevon Looney still unlikely to play, I’m going right back to Marquese Chriss as one of my favorite values on the slate. He played well as a starter last time out and doesn’t need to do much to hit value. Omari Spellman is the other guy I like who is cheap and should get a lot of time in the front court.

Elite Plays: Steph Curry, Marquese Chriss

Secondary Plays: Omari Spellman

Los Angelas Lakers

Anthony Davis is injured already! While his thumb sprain doesn’t sound serious, it’s likely enough to keep him out of this game and possibly the rest of the preseason. Kyle Kuzma continues to be out, too, leaving LeBron James as the only star in the lineup (sorry Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo are not stars anymore). LeBron didn’t play many minutes against the Nets the last two games and I’d be surprised if they pushed him at all in the preseason, especially when the team went on record saying they wouldn’t do it. I’ll most likely be fading him tonight.

Without LeBron and Davis, the Lakers limped to only 77 points last game. There’s not a lot to like here from a DFS standpoint other than my dude Alex Caruso, who is a sneaky stat-stuffer at backup point guard. His game is Satoranksy-esque and he’s a nice source of boards, assists, and steals from the PG/SG position.

Elite Plays: Alex Caruso

Secondary Plays: JaVale McGee
