NBA Preseason DFS: Nuggets @ Suns

Denver Nuggets

Denver is a team (I know I have said it before) that can be incredibly hard to figure out from a fantasy standpoint outside of the fact that Nikola Jokic is one of the best fat dudes to ever play the game. They play a very balanced style of offense and you never really know which of their other starters is going to have a big game. The offense runs through Jokic, however, and as long as we know he’s playing 20+ minutes he’s an elite play against the Suns’ weak interior defense. Malik Beasley got hot last game and is the one guy who comes off the bench for Denver you have to consider.

Elite Plays: Nikola Jokic

Secondary Plays: Paul Millsap, Malik Beasley (questionable), Monte Morris (if Beasley is out)

Phoenix Suns

The Suns rested their core guys in their last game (Rubio, Ayton, and Booker) but we should see them back in action tonight. I like the guards a bit more here as Rubio and Booker have matchups that they can attack and Ayton could struggle against Millsap and Jokic. My favorite play on Phoenix, however, is Kelly Oubre. He’s cheap on both sites and is a usage monster coming off the bench as the sixth man. He can score and stuff the stat sheet in a hurry and I really love this role for him this season. Tyler Johnson remains out for Phoenix, so give Jevon Carter a look as the backup point guard and scorer off the bench.

Elite Plays: Kelly Oubre

Secondary Plays: Ricky Rubio, Devin Booker, Jevon Carter
