NBA Preseason DFS: Atlanta @ Chicago

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks played last night, which makes me a tad nervous, but we haven’t heard anything about them resting their core guys tonight (but that doesn’t mean that we won’t yet…stay tuned.) While it’s possible they could choose to sit Trae Young and John Collins, we also have to consider that these are young dudes who are in great shape and perfectly capable of playing 28-32 minutes on back to back nights.

As of now, Trae Young, who scored 23 points while dishing out 9 assists last night, and John Collins, who posted a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards, are going to be top plays for me against a poor defensive Bulls team. Alex Len is worth a look tonight too, he was scoreless last night but did have 9 boards and 4 assists and the Bulls are weak on the interior. The wing situation is pretty murky with Jabari Parker, Vince Carter, DeAndre’ Bembry, Cam Reddish, and DeAndre Hunter all splitting time there. Carter and Parker were hot off the bench last night, but Bembry had been the most consistent play all preseason.

Top Plays: John Collins, Trae Young

Secondary Plays: Jabari Parker, DeAndre’ Bembry

Chicago Bulls

Chicago is playing their final preseason game tonight and there has been no indication that starters will have minutes limited. In fact, this young team has been a great source of fantasy production this preseason when they get minutes and it would make some sense for them to get a “dress rehearsal” amount of run tonight since they have a full 5 days off until their opening night game.

Tomas Satoransky has officially beat out Kris Dunn as the starting point guard this season and is a solid, cheap play on both sites. Zach LaVine is one of my favorite plays on the slate with his ability to score, while Otto Porter and Lauri Markannen are both viable plays as well. All four guys played between 20-24 minutes against Toronto on Monday so they should be well-rested and ready to go in a prime matchup against an Atlanta team that likes to play fast. This game is loaded with fantasy goodness and is one of my favorite games on the slate tonight.

Top Plays: Zach LaVine, Lauri Markannen

Secondary Plays: Coby White, Tomas Satoransky, Otto Porter
