Fantasy football picks: Week 7 MNF Patriots vs. Jets

Demaryius Thomas – One of the multiple receivers listed as questionable for the Patriots, Thomas is looking like he should be on track to play. He got in a few practices with some limited reps, but if he does play there is a lot of upside to be had with him. He is priced at 7.5k, which is great considering he could be forced into a number two role. Thomas is no stranger to playing a starting role and would be one of my top overall plays on the slate if he does play.

Mike Nugent – This is the kicker that I prefer to use for this slate. Nugent was brought in as an injury replacement and has since been a fine replacement. Of course, if the Patriots are scoring at a high rate, he should have a pretty big game. I do not trust Sam Ficken at all for the Jets, especially when I do not really think they will be anywhere near field goal range for much of this game.

James White – With Rex Burkhead listed as out, this gives James White another chance to shine. He is dominating the passing game, averaging around nine targets in each game, and in four of his five games he put up over 40 receiving yards. All very solid numbers for a running back. He could occasionally get a few rushing attempts, but that is not at all what his job is. He is a pass-catcher first, he will line up on the outside as a wide receiver, catch screens, do pretty much anything in order to grab a pass. He gets a lot of red-zone looks which is also a massive boost for his upside. This is more of a mid-range play, basically bordering the value play section, but either way I like him a lot.
