DFS NBA Love, Like, Leave – Opening Night

Shooting Guard

Love

Nickeil Alexander-Walker (3,600): Alexander-Walker and his fantastic nickname were featured in the title of the first NBA DFS Love Like Leave, and for good reason. Walker was a beast in the preseason, showcasing explosive play making in limited minutes.

The door is open for 18+ minutes nightly for NAW, and if the preseason is anything to judge by, NAW may force his way into far more minutes than that. Even at a lighter minute total, Walker provides an ability to quickly picky up not just points, but all counting stats. At this price, he is set and forget for me.

Like

Jrue Holiday (8,700): While it’s highly unconventional to start two players on the same team at the same position, we can get away with it at a superstar hungry SG position during a 2 game slate.

With Williamson out, his 25.2% usage rate goes with him. While I expect Lonzo to be the floor general, I’d bet with confidence that Holiday leads the team in shots taken. I am expecting a very Bradley Beal line out of Holiday today.

Don’t Leave

Lou Williams (6,200): While Holiday is the clear best play, and could end up leading the position by 15+ fantasy points, there is plenty of lower end depth.

Reddick becomes a solid option with Williamson out, and with no Paul George, Williams could receive some extra usage to begin the season. There isn’t a “bad” play here, so telling you guys to leave someone would be disingenuous, as I will have exposure to likely the top 5-6 options.
