NBA DFS Scrubs

Lou Williams (vs. LAL – $6,500 on DK; $6,200 on FD): Lou can carry the scoring for the Clippers when Kawhi sits and see less pressure when he plays alongside Kawhi. The matchup certainly helps as Lou loves playing in the rivalry games. He can put up similar numbers to Kyle Lowry at a cheaper price.

Montrezl Harrell (vs. LAL – $6,100 on DK; $7,300 on FD): I love Harrell in this game because he’s the best frontcourt player on the Clippers and they are going to need plenty of frontcourt help against Davis, Howard, and McGee. A strong option on DK due to his double-double ability.

Danny Green (at LAC – $5,300 on DK; $4,600 on FD): The Lakers picked up a lot of role players to round out their squad this season and Danny Green is my favorite of the bunch. He’s a low-cost option who will benefit from playing alongside LeBron and Davis. We know LeBron is a willing passer for guys who can get open. Green can get open and shoot at a high clip. The loss of Kyle Kuzma helps Green as he can guard multiple positions and replace his shooting.

Kyle Lowry (vs. NO – $6,800 on DK; $7,000 on FD): Lowry put up strong numbers in the regular season last year and comes into this season feeling confident. The pressure will be higher on Lowry with Kawhi, which is why I don’t totally love him. But on a two-game night, Lowry is a star player at a good salary. Has double-double potential as well.

Fred VanVleet (vs. NO – $4,800 on DK; $5,600 on FD): VanVleet was inconsistent last season, but really came alive in the playoffs. And coming off the bench is going to create a lot of matchup problems for a team like the Pelicans, who are not all that deep and will likely have defensive issues, at least to open the season. I love VanVleet as a low-cost option who could hit huge based on his offensive play.
