DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

It’s hard not to pay up for Luka Doncic here. The Wizards are depleted at the point and Dallas could be one of the most improved teams with PorzinGOD in town. Just look at the matchup. It’s better than anything else near the top, though you could make a case for Kemba Walker if Simmons is out.

It was kind of a lost year for the Bulls as a whole last year, and specifically for Zach LaVine, who battled various injuries throughout. He was on point in preseason. If LaVine is going to knock down that many shots in the regular season, he could be in for a big year.

Honorable Mention:

Mike Conley is one of those guys that always has a good floor. He wont need to score in Utah like he did in Memphis, but he’ll get enough peripheral stats to make him worth the while. De’Aaron Fox is more intriguing for GPP play since he’s playing the Suns and his back looks fine.

Judging by what Ja Morant did in the preseason, I would definitely play him at this price. Miami is a solid defensive team so I wouldn’t expect miracles, but all Morant really needs is 33 DraftKings points. He should be able to pull that off.

Dark Horse:

The Suns are an interesting spot for Ricky Rubio. Chances are they are going to let him run the team to showcase him for a trade, then move him. That means lots of DFS goodness in the meantime. I like Rubio a lot at this price. Jeff Teague is solid against Brooklyn too.

I’m avoiding the Knicks point guard situation until it sorts itself out, but there is still a ton of value down here. Ish Smith is no longer fighting Reggie Jackson for minutes. He is one of the few healthy point guards in Washington, so I love him as a punt.

Get ready for chalk Derrick Rose if Jackson is ruled out. The price makes this intriguing, but I almost trust Langston Galloway more and he’s $1,300 less than Rose. The Pistons could start Tim Frazier instead and roll Rose off the bench in which case I’m all in on Frazier. However, signs are leaning towards Jackson playing.

My pick: Rubio(PG); Smith(PG)
