FanDuel NBA Breakdown – Cash Core

Giannis Antetokounmpo (12,200) – The “Greek Freak” is making his debut on this small three game Thursday slate. He led the Bucks in usage last year, at 32.3%, averaging 1.69 FPM. While it is very possible that he draws the stingy defense of P.J Tucker, I still have no problem playing him. Giannis is a well rounded player, he plays well on both ends of the floor, often racking up several blocks, and steals, while posting plenty of rebounds, and assists. This play isn’t going to surprise anybody, he is pricey, but he has a very high ceiling.

Andre Drummond (10,300) – As I am writing this article Drum is tearing up the the Pacers. Without Blake, he has posted a 25.6% usage rate, and 1.46 FPM. These are stud type stats, for a slight discount. Atlanta was one of the worst teams in the league last season against big men, and I do not expect them to suddenly take a giant leap forward in that department. This is a great spot for Drum, even if it is on a back-to-back.

Lou Williams (6,900) – “Sweet Lou” is making my cash core for the second straight time. He logged 36 minutes in that first game, easily exceeded value. That minute total was a little high, and I would not get too excited as that is probably more of an outlier than anything. If course, Paul George being hurt could lead to some increased opportunity, but Williams is going to put up points regardless.
