FanDuel NBA Breakdown – GPP Plays

Kawhi Leonard (9,800) – Kawhi makes for the perfect GPP play on a slate where there are several other studs to pay up for. He only played 31 minutes, but he did put up 47 FanDuel points, where he scored 30 real points. He now gets a match-up with the Warriors, in a game that looks to be pretty high scoring. He is going to be a very high usage player until George returns, and with that very bad first unit. This makes him a great play, and at below 10k he is a good GPP pivot.

Montrezl Harrell (7,000) – Speaking of players that did log big minutes in the season opener, Harrell played 38 minutes on Tuesday. He comes off the bench, but really dominated playing time over Zubac, which is not very shocking. Golden State is notorious for playing a smaller lineup, which really benefits Montrezl. He is an athletic versatile big, that can play against most lineups. At 7k he will likely fly under the radar, and I am fine with that.

Stephen Curry (10,300) – Curry is going to post season highs in everything this season, and that is not a very hot take. Klay is likely out for the season, and that alone will boost the usage rate for Curry. Patrick Beverley is a good defender, but is he good enough to lock down Steph? I would say probably not, and the price is just right on him.
