FanDuel NBA Breakdown – Value Plays

Derrick Rose (5,500) – I just can not get enough of D Rose. I was all over him last year during the comeback season, and he did not disappoint. He should be the first man off the bench, and he will be making a very good case for sixth man of the year, if he stays healthy. During the preseason, he looked very explosive, very comparable to the years of his prime. Atlanta led the league in turnovers last year, and replicated that during the preseason. Rose is crafty, and can grab a steal or two, and we already know how good of a scorer he is.

Maurice Harkless (4,900) – It was a very successful debut for Mo, a lot of which was boosted by his blocks, and steals. He has never been a very big scorer, but he does more with the peripheral stats. His defensive skills will be needed in this game with the Warriors, that should lead to him logging at least 30 minutes. That should be plenty more than enough time for him to hit value.

Jabari Parker (4,500) – The once highly touted prospect has now bounced around the league, and this year landed on the Hawks. They are pretty thin in the way of talented big men, outside of Collins, and the legendary Vince Carter. Jabari actually had a pretty good finish to the season last year in Chicago, where he was logging around 30 minutes. Now I am not sure if he will play that many minutes or not, but he will have a sizable role regardless.
