NBA DFS Picks and Pivots – Thursday, October 24
Welcome to the Thursday edition of NBA DFS Picks and Pivots, a fantasy basketball column focused on helping you find the best core lineup for this slate of DFS action!
For those of you finding us for the first time, the concept behind NBA DFS Picks and Pivots is to give you a first look at the day’s NBA DFS slate, including our top picks, plays and pivots, using FantasyDraft pricing as a reference to help you build your best fantasy baseball line-up and win big.
Picks and Pivots is not a simple “best plays” column but rather it focuses on slate strategy and roster construction to help give you insight into how I will look to play this slate. The goal of this article is to dig through the slate, highlight our top plays and help you identify the best slate strategy across your NBA DFS line-ups.

Wednesday’s NBA DFS contests were insanely high-scoring as we saw on opening night that 350 fantasy points on FantasyDraft were enough to take down a GPP, while last night you needed just 350 to min-cash or even hit the floor in double-ups!
The trio of stars we outlined yesterday in Picks and Pivots ended up being the absolute right core to build around as all of Andre Drummond, Karl-Anthony Towns and Kyrie Irving went for 70+ fantasy points as the top three plays on the slate.
While that trio alone gave you a 230 fantasy foundation, it was how you built the rest of your line-up that was key as the winning lineup in the $25 GPP put up nearly 420 fantasy points by sliding in guys like Donovan Mitchell, Goran Dragic and Myles Turner around them for a big opening week take down,
Without further ado, let’s get into today’s slate!
