DraftKings NBA Picks October 25: Out on the Towns
We have a pretty busy NBA Friday with nine games for our DraftKings NBA tournaments. Last night was nuts as the ones who went with a balanced build and avoided all of the star pitfalls were the ones that won big. Is that how we should approach tonight?
A new season will mean a little bit of a different format. It will still provide most of what you are used to, but I will go more into why I am thinking about one pick over the other. That way if you don’t agree with my particular analysis, you more easily know what to chase instead.
The injury report is a lot more crowded tonight with a few game time decisions.
Out: Zion Williamson(knee), Marvin Bagley(thumb), Kyle Kuzma(ankle), Dwight Powell(hamstring), Enes Kanter(knee), Nicolas Batum(finger), Reggie Bullock(back), Jordan McRae(finger), Andre Iguodala(personal), Romeo Langford(knee), Cameron Johnson(calf), Ty Jerome(ankle), Harry Giles(knee), Wilson Chandler(suspension), Kevin Durant(achilles), Kadeem Allen(knee), Tacko Fall(concussion), Andre Roberson(knee), Ian Mahinmi(achilles), John Wall(achilles), Bol Bol(foot), Pau Gasol(foot), Jusuf Nurkic(leg), Darius Miller(achilles), DeMarcus Cousins(knee), Talen Horton-Tucker(foot), Dante Exum(knee), Chandler Hutchison(hamstring).
Questionable: Buddy Hield(ankle), Cody Zeller(personal), Bojan Bogdanovic(ankle), Rajon Rondo(calf), Isaiah Thomas(thumb), Troy Brown(calf), C.J. Miles(foot), Patrick McCaw(knee).
Rondo, Zeller, and Thomas seem closer to probable. You can bet the Wizards want Thomas back after Ish Smith’s debut on Wednesday.
Last night was the first night I didn’t cash in DraftKings NBA so far this year. I made a little bit in the late tournament, but my best all night line finished 0.75 points off the cash line of 274.75. I had Giannis and Kawhi in that one, but a poor debut for Cam Reddish hurt that lineup.
The winner was a low score of 341 DraftKings points. The season is only three days old, and I’ve topped that a couple of times. He built with Giannis, Harden, and Trae Young and got massive value out of Glenn Robinson III, Ersan Ilyasova, Langston Galloway, and Zubac.
