NBA DFS – Studs, scrubs, and duds (10/25)
Scrubs
Robert Williams (vs. TOR – $3,200 on DK; $3,700 on FD): No Enes Kanter means more Robert Williams or Daniel Theis. My money is on Williams picking up the slack since he offers more upside but you can try your luck with Theis as well. A lot of people are going to bang on Williams and Baynes for good reason. You can’t really afford to miss out given the salary and circumstances.
Tyus Jones (vs. CHI – $3,600 on DK; $5,500 on FD): I don’t know how Jones is this low on DraftKings but he is and you should take advantage of it. He’s a great back-up point guard to Morant and the Bulls aren’t going to do much in terms of defense. Great value on DraftKings and good value on FanDuel.
Ricky Rubio (at DEN – $5,600 on DK; $7,000 on FD): Another steal on DraftKings given his production and price. Denver will be a tougher matchup than Sacramento, but Rubio runs a good offense in Phoenix and is always a double-double threat who can also chip in with defense.
Aron Baynes (at DEN – $3,200 on DK; $3,500 on FD): Much like Williams, the circumstances benefit Baynes. No Ayton means Baynes will likely be starting and receiving plenty of playing time. The Suns frontcourt is looking good as many of them will have the opportunity to step up with Ayton out.
Josh Hart (vs. DAL – $3,200 on DK; $4,400 on FD): Hart is another under the radar player at a great salary who will get minutes and opportunities. The three-ball helps him big time on DraftKings. The Pelicans offense is going to be good this season, even if their defense doesn’t get many stops. The jury is still out on Dallas, especially their bench, where Hart can take advantage.
