DraftKings NBA Picks October 27: KAT of nine tails
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Point Guards:
Best Bets:
This may be a small slate, but point guard is loaded at the top again. At least we can play LeBron and Luka at other positions.
Kyrie Irving was unstoppable in the opener, but came back to his normal level with 41 DraftKings points against the Knicks. Perhaps more concerning were the 14 less shots he took in the second game. Irving is going to put up solid numbers, but I think we’ll be disappointed if we expect something like the opener again.
The first two games for Damian Lillard were much more consistent. C.J. is struggling, so Portland is leaning on Lillard for more offense in the early going. I really like Lillard tonight, even in a tougher game against the Mavs.
Honorable Mention:
The middle tier is littered with horrible buys for the price. We have some underpriced guys on DraftKings, but Ja Morant and Terry Rozier certainly aren’t two of them. Avoid at all costs.
Instead, save a huge chunk of change by playing Goran Dragic or Kendrick Nunn. Both are seeing a ton of minutes and producing with Butler and Waiters out. I prefer the veteran presence of Dragic, but I will likely roll both of them in at least one line.
Dark Horse:
There are some really nice value plays at the point as well. Delon Wright has been a superb defender and capable scorer off the bench for Dallas, Jalen Brunson looked really good starting for Dallas as well, but no one can touch the massive upside and too low price of Devonte Graham.
Graham has 42.5 and 34 DraftKings points in the first two games of the year, nailing six triples in each. He is the only value play you can’t go without. Forget ownership. Get your separation elsewhere.
My pick: Lillard(PG), Graham(G), Brunson(UTIL); Dragic(PG), Graham(G)
