Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s daily fantasy NBA lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

6 p.m. ET: Brooklyn at Memphis
7 p.m. ET: Portland at Dallas, Miami at Minnesota
9:30 p.m. ET: Charlotte at LA Lakers

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Karl-Anthony Towns (vs. MIA – $10,100 on DK; $12,200 on FD): He’s highest on FanDuel but second on DraftKings. It doesn’t seem to matter right now for Towns, who is dominating through the first two games. The Heat play hard but they are on a back-to-back and went to OT. Towns should put up big numbers.

Justise Winslow (at MIN – $7,200 on DK; $7,000 on FD): As mentioned it’s a back-to-back for the Heat, but the Timberwolves, as well as they are playing, still have some kinks on the defensive end. With Butler still out of the lineup, Winslow has been the focal point for Miami and can do a bit of everything.

Luka Doncic (vs. POR – $9,500 on DK; $10,100 on FD): Much like Towns, Luka is getting it done this season. I like him more than Kyrie in FanDuel given the Blazers defensive issues right now. And Luka is completely undeniable.

LeBron James (vs CHA – $9,900 on DK; $11,300 on FD): It’s a top heavy night but the Charlotte defense has not been good and the Lakers have seemed to found some early chemistry with LeBron and shooters. I like LeBron better than Davis, though this one might get out of hand, leading to lesser minutes.

Jaren Jackson Jr (vs. BKN – $6,500 on DK; $7,300 on FD): Triple J is going to be a stud for Memphis and he can take advantage of a weak Nets frontcourt. The Brooklyn defense isn’t much to write home about. I like him better than McCollum (DK) and Wiggins (FD)
