NBA DFS – Studs, Scrubs, & Duds (10/28)
Scrubs
Derrick Rose (vs. IND – $5,400 on DK; $6,500 on FD): The price is climbing on FD but remains steady at DK. The Pacers seem to be in a funk and the Pistons are inconsistent, but Rose has proven to be just what they need at the point guard position. He’s a reliable option with a proven matchup on Monday.
Josh Hart (vs GS – $4,800 on DK; $5,800 on FD): The Pelicans offense has been a ton of fun so far with multiple players benefitting. And Hart remains at a good price given the minutes and opportunities he gets. The Warriors are a wreck right now on the defensive end and are unlikely to get things fixed 24 hours after getting waxed by the Thunder.
Kelly Oubre Jr (vs UTA – $6,100 on DK; $6,900 on FD): He’s a tad high on FD but is at a very good price at DK. I like him better than guys like Gordon and McCollum, even though McCollum finally found his touch on Sunday. The Jazz can play smothering defense, but the Suns look to be for real right now. If Rubio doesn’t play, that would be a loss for the Suns and hurt their offense. But Oubre typically finds a way with his style of play.
Coby White (at NY – $5,000 on DK; $5,100 on FD): Coby is off to a strong start this season. He may have been down against the Raptors, but chalk it up to playing the Raptors. The Knicks are playing hard early in the season but they are not exactly a good team. White will bounce back in a big way given the opponent.
Ersan Ilyasova (vs CLE – $3,200 on DK; $4,100 on FD): Ilyasova is a safety pick who is very affordable, gets plenty of opportunities, and can hit big if he’s knocking down shots. He’s a guy who isn’t going to hurt you, especially against a team like the Cavaliers. The Bucks offense always finds a way to get him involved.
