Carolina Panthers. Derrick Brown. 19. player. 87. . Defensive Tackle

The Carolina Panthers went into their matchup against the San Francisco 49ers last weekend feeling good, as they had played well despite the fact Cam Newton went down early in the year with an injury. Kyle Allen stepped in beautifully for the Panthers, having not thrown an interception since taking over the starting job, but all of that changed on Sunday.

The 49ers defense was just too good for the Panthers, and by the time this one ended, the 49ers offense had put up over 50 points on their defense. During the 2020 NFL Draft, the Panthers should look to get better up front on that defense, bringing in arguably the best defensive tackle in the class.

Derrick Brown from Auburn is a mountain of a man, and has the size, strength, and quickness to be a real menace at the NFL level. He could have been a first round pick last year, but decided on going back to school for one more go-around, and it certainly has done nothing to hurt his draft stock.

20. player. 52. . Cornerback. Jacksonville Jaguars. Bryce Hall

The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the Los Angeles Rams first round pick in 2020, and right now, that pick would be at No. 20 overall. They got the pick thanks to trading away Jalen Ramsey, one of the premier cornerbacks in the league, but also a talent who had gotten tired of playing for Tom Coughlin and company.

With the pick the Jags got for Ramsey, they should look to bring in another cornerback, this time adding Virginia’s Bryce Hall in the first round. While you will never be able to replace a talent like Ramsey, at least not right away, Hall is a super-talented cover guy, and could slide right in as a starter on this Jaguars team.

The Rams seem to be starting to put it all together, and there is good reason to believe that this pick could be a lot later in round one before all is said and done. Luckily for the Jaguars, this draft class is loaded with cornerback talent, and they should be able to get a new starter in the defensive backfield no matter where this pick lands.
