Wide Receivers to Start and Sit

Start:

A.J. Green (CIN) vs. BAL

While it is his first game to be played this season and he will most likely be used in a limited capacity, I still believe starting Green wouldn’t be such a terrible idea. The Bengals don’t have much in their receiving corps outside of Green and the Ravens’ secondary has a lot of holes in it. Green is an interesting flex option to keep an eye on even with a rookie quarterback expected to start.

Tyler Lockett (SEA) @ SF

Even though San Francisco has a fairly strong defense this year, I’m still confident Lockett will pull through. He remains Seattle’s top target in the passing game and quarterback Russell Wilson is having an MVP-type of season. The Seahawks will likely want to keep a good mix of both the run and pass incorporated into their game plan as they seek to defeat their division rivals and gain some ground for first place. Lockett appears slated to play a big role yet again in this week’s game plan.

Sit:

Kenny Golladay (DET) @ CHI

This is not a knock on Golladay’s talents or ability. I just don’t like the match-up. The Bears are a pretty tough secondary for receivers to deal with, despite what their overall record may say. Golladay’s fantasy production has also been spotty this season as he can have some monster games and others where he will completely ghost you. I fear that this week will be one of those weeks where Golladay will have just a handful of receptions at the conclusion of this game.
