Let’s Party

The next contest pits The Dark Order against the much beloved Private Party, with the winner earning a tag team title shot at Full Gear.

Stu Grayson and Isiah Kassidy start off the contest with Grayson gaining the upper hand quickly. Private Party start to figure out Grayson’s offense until Uno drags him out and hits a Rock Bottom on Kassidy. Kassidy tries to fight off both opponents but gets overwhelmed and hit with a nasty slingshot apron senton.

Back from break, The Dark Order have isolated Kassidy. Kassidy finally gets the tag to Marq Quen, who also gets overwhelmed by The Dark Order. The Dark Order go for The Fatality but Private Party avoid the maneuver and start to fight back. Quen hits a springboard crossbody but Grayson hits a double Pele kick to swing the tide back in his favor. Uno hits an insane electric chair driver on Kassidy. The Dark Order hit their cannonball/450 splash combo but still can’t get the pinfall.

Uno goes for a Gory Special but Kassidy escapes, hits Silly String and then Gin and Juice with Quen on Grayson to win the contest.

A great match that showed in spades how much Private Party has grown since signing with AEW. The Dark Order still haven’t made a connection with the crowd but if they keep putting on incredible matches like this then the fans will eventually come around.
