DraftKings college football quarterback picks November 13

Top Tier:

Toledo still hasn’t disclosed what is ailing Mitch Guadagni, but he has missed three straight games. Even if he goes tonight, I’m not sure I want to use him. There’s bound to be rust, and NIU has one of the better defenses in the MAC. Also, fading this enormous price tag (and risk) leaves us a lot more play for the other skill positions.

Middle Tier:

Miami is weaker against the run, and the good news is that Grant Loy is a pretty good runner. You’re not going to mistake him for Malcolm Perry anytime soon, but Loy’s wheels are good enough to give him a nice floor even if he struggles through the air.

The name Gabbert should ring a few bells. Brett Gabbert is indeed the younger brother of former Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert. Brett has struggled some in his freshman year, but overall he has been pretty good. Bowling Green is weaker against the run, so Miami may not open it up much through the air. That’s my only source of apprehension here.

Bargain Shoppers:

Eli Peters has mostly struggled as Toledo’s signal caller, so you can bet Guadagni will play if at all possible. If it is Peters under center, I’m not desperate enough to use him against the Huskies. He has just 25.18 DraftKings points combined in his two starts.

Last but not really least on this list is Cal transfer Ross Bowers. Bowers hasn’t been any better for NIU than he was for Cal, but he is the most prolific passer of the four QBs tonight and the lowest price. We have to take advantage of discrepancies like this.
