DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Luka Doncic makes a prospective fade of Harden easier to deal with. Doncic has over 50 DraftKings points in five straight and eight of the last ten games. Oh, and his price went down $500. The Spurs are solid defensive team, but this is the new NBA. Guys like Doncic rule the roost and the old guard wont be able to stop that.

I like the prospects of using Damian Lillard tonight despite the fact that he is a miserable 6-31 from the floor over the last two games. There’s no injury. No one is stealing the shots. All of the volume is still there, and Lillard gets to run with the Rockets. This is the perfect situation for Lillard to bounce back.

There’s kind of a general consensus around DFS now that we can’t trust both Russ and Harden. If we were going to again, it would be here. Westbrook’s numbers over the last couple of games are atrocious, but he is just 11-41 from the floor. Despite Harden’s huge games, the volume is still there. That makes Westbrook an interesting GPP option.

Honorable Mention:

The sheer volume for Fred VanVleet makes him worth a look no matter what the matchup looks like. Ibaka returning wont affect that much. VanVleet has played at least 35 minutes in every game with Lowry out and has taken no fewer than 10 shots. The price is right to chase Fred again.

The middle tier is littered with poor matchups. I’m still burned by Bledsoe from Saturday. Boston is tough on guards. Graham and Rozier are overpriced against Toronto. That brings us to Chris Paul. He’s not someone I really target this year, but the animosity between him and the Clippers is second only to the animosity between him and Rondo. CP3 wants to stick it to the Clippers every chance he gets, and he has. Paul could be an excellent GPP option tonight. Same with SGA in what is also a revenge game, but I’d go with Paul first.

Mike Conley is a strong play against Minnesota defense. The Timberwolves have taken on the personality of the state when it comes to defense. “Minnesota nice” is great when you visit the great white north, but not so much when their pro team is supposed to stop other teams from scoring. My issue with Conley is that he has a limited ceiling in Utah. Malcolm Brogdon is a much better play if his back is okay and he’s not on a minutes limit. Even Aaron Holiday is worth a look if Brogdon sits.

Dark Horse:

Coby White slowed down form long range against the Nets on Saturday, but he still put up solid fantasy numbers due to his all around good game before fouling out. White still shot seven from long range, and he’s not going to quit shooting. The fact that he contributed in other areas has me going back to White.

The price on Austin Rivers is enough to make me nervous, especially with Russ back. He’ll still see decent minutes with Gordon out, but he no longer has the upside that’s worth paying up for. You’ll probably get more out of the defined backup roles of Kris Dunn and Brad Wanamaker are far lower prices.
