DraftKings NBA picks November 27: Browbeaten Pelicans
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Point Guards:
Best Bets:
Trae Young ($9,900): Young put up 45 DraftKings points on the Bucks the first time around and that was with a disappointing 8-22 from the floor. The upside is high enough to chase here since Young is making more shots, getting to the line, and flirting with double digit assists on a nightly basis.
Damian Lillard ($8,600): Lillard abused CP3 for 58.25 DraftKings points the first time around. Lillard has been quiet since his return and CJ is still firing on all cylinders. It may be better to go with CJ, but Lillard has the better track record both this year and in the past.
Spencer Dinwiddie ($7,800): Dinwiddie keeps piling up games over 40 DraftKings points with Kyrie out. Boston defends the perimeter well, but Dinwiddie did this against the Pacers and Knicks in the last five games, both of whom are in the top ten in fantasy points allowed to point guards. This wont be a ceiling game for Dinwiddie, but if you’re looking for a sure 40, you should get it.
Honorable Mention:
Chris Paul ($7,200): Paul isn’t the CP3 of old, but he’s not priced like it either. Paul’s ceiling appears to be just over 6x value, but the floor is just under 5x. That could be as important as anything else. A balanced lineup usually wins these massive slates. Paul could be a nice piece of one of those.
Eric Bledsoe ($7,100): The Hawks are statistically good against point guards, but they weren’t in the first meeting with the Bucks. Bledsoe racked up 44.75 DraftKings points on Atlanta in just 25 minutes in that first game. It’s been a rough two games for Bledsoe against Utah and Detroit. He’ll enjoy this much easier game.
Ky Bowman ($6,400): The Bulls are deceptively good defending the point, but with the way Bowman has been playing lately, I’m not sure I care. Bowman is starting to trust his shot and is becoming a better distributor as head of this offense. It will be all for naught by next year, but it’s a lot of fun to watch right now and a DFS gold mine.
Dark Horse:
Coby White ($5,500): I do like Fultz in this price range as well, but White has a better matchup and his ceiling is much higher. We need to gamble on those high ceilings on a night like this. Digging super low into value may not help, but players in this range are worth keeping an eye on.
Lonzo Ball ($4,900): I don’t know if Ball really has the heart to stick it to a former team. He comes off as apathetic and aloof, so I’m not sure he really has that killer instinct to erupt on the Lakers. But just in case he does, I may throw him out there. Rondo is the safer pick for the price with similar upside.
Tremont Waters ($3,200): Waters showed up and Wanamaker didn’t with Kemba out on Monday. Kemba is trending towards playing, so I’m off of Waters if he does. However, if Kemba sits, this is a sneaky value pick that allows you to play Giannis.
