DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Fred VanVleet ($7,400): I don’t like the matchup, but I don’t trust anyone else at the top either. FVV is here because the usage rate with Lowry out always makes him a solid alternative to whatever else you’re looking at. VanVleet just racked up 49.25 DraftKings points against an Orlando team that is top five in fantasy points allowed to point guards. That gives me hope for his prospects here.

Chris Paul ($7,200): CP3 is worth considering just because of the dearth of options on the slate. He was serviceable against the Pelicans on Friday and likely will be here again. The bottom line is that Paul isn’t going to ruin your line. However, it’s very obvious he wont win you a GPP anymore either.

Honorable Mention:

Dennis Schroder ($5,700): Schroder almost outscored CP3 and SGA combined against the Pelicans on Friday and he costs a whole lot less than both of them. If you’re going to gamble on a Thunder guard, Schroder is the best bet.

Markelle Fultz ($5,300): Fultz is one of the most consistent options out there, and now that he’s the starter, there is plenty of upside with him too. The Warriors have been dreadful defending the perimeter this year. Yes, even worse than the middle. For the price, you’re not going to do much better than Fultz.

Dark Horse:

Derrick White ($4,600): The presence of an obviously less than 100% Dejounte Murray does nothing but neuter White. There is a hard cap on his minutes and value, which makes it almost impossible to use anyone from this backcourt. White has the most upside since he starts, but I don’t even know if I’m that desperate on this small of a slate.
