Duds

Jimmy Butler (at TOR – $7,600 on DK; $8,800 on FD): Butler hasn’t quite delivered in recent outings and that’s worrying in a matchup as good as the Raptors. This is toughest game of the night as both teams are sound defensively and there is better value elsewhere. There is certainly better value below Butler, who can’t be trusted against this matchup based on recent games.

Jrue Holiday (vs DAL – $7,700 on DK; $8,300 on FD): Jrue has a disappointing couple of games against the Thunder and he wasn’t good against the Mavericks earlier in the season. These things concern me heading into this matchup on Tuesday. Maybe he surprises because he’s an excellent player but there is better and more guaranteed value below him.

Nikola Jokic (vs LAL – $8,900 on DK; $8,900 on FD): Jokic has a high ceiling but his inconsistency is worrying. And the Lakers present a tough matchup as they can throw Anthony Davis on him to really limit what he does. There’s more guaranteed value above him if you’re willing to spend more and less risky value below him.

Carmelo Anthony (at LAC – $6,300 on DK; $6,000 on FD): The world is freaking out about Carmelo Anthony and for good reason. Melo is definitely back. That said. The Clippers are not the Bulls. And with his price inflated because he did beat up on the Bulls, he’s an easy stay away. Maybe he is back to form. But let’s see it against a good team first.

DeMar DeRozan (vs HOU – $7,200 on DK; $8,200 on FD): The Rockets have proven to have a stout defense and the Spurs have proven that they just can’t figure things out. DeRozan can get hot from the field and does help with assists but there is better value below him. I’m not feeling Aldridge on Tuesday either.
